My name is Kristoffer (yes again) and my interest to computer programming goes back quite many years when I first found out about a program called Gamemaker.
At around 12 years old I got more and more interested in the endless possibilites of gamemaker and programming in general, this lead to a series of small games and many simple programs that with time got more and more complex.

This is some old rts that i worked on using gamemaker and its built in script langauge GML

  1. var = 0

  2. while ( var < 10 )

  3. {

  4.     var += 1

  5. }

I know it looks very similar to langauges like c/c++ and I think that helped me alot on the transition between this and c/c++ for example.

Now it felt that gamemaker limited me in a number of ways that I disliked, so I asked myself whats the next step?
First i looked at various BASIC langauges such as PureBasic and while it was interesting with something new it didn´t felt like I could produce something better using PureBasic compared to Gamemaker so continued searching and found c/c++.

The struggle between Gamemaker and c/c++ has started.

To be continued...
